Peter and Sue Grimbly were awarded a Distinguished Service Award (DSA) for their contributions to the development of the Horticulture Group. SCI Honorary President, Stephanie Burns, presented this first-ever joint DSA to them on 6 July 2011.
What has driven your long-term involvement?
PG: Much of my career was about interpreting science to industry and encouraging a two-way interaction between science and business. As the SCI chose to broaden its scope into allied sciences with 'Where Science meets Business' as its tag line, it became the natural place to continue to drive this forward.
