NSW: Man drowns in Sydney s south
A western Sydney man has drowned while surfing at a beach in Sydney's south.
Surf Life Saving Australia spokesman STEPHEN LEAHY says the 32-year-old man from Parramatta
was surfing at Garie Beach in the Royal National Park at around 3pm when he drowned.
A Westpac Lifesaving helicopter spokesman says two people were trying to resuscitate
the man when rescue crews arrived.
The man was pronounced dead soon after.
